Boston
Whaler Boats has been around for almost half a century,
starting with its
very first boat which was shown in the Boston Boat Show in
1958. It was such a unique boat, that it progressed into a
legend, and before long, there were seventy thousand of these
boats for sale. Richard T. Fisher, the founder, had originally
called the company Fisher-Pierce, before deciding to change
the name to Boston Whaler.
The company that began in Massachusetts, in 1958, revolutionized
the boating world forever by pioneering a production process
which produces unsinkable boats. This technique, called
Unibond™, is still used in the creation of boats today. As
well as the unsinkable factor, Boston Whaler boats also
feature an amazing stability, which was discovered by the
public in 1961. This remarkable company introduced many other
innovations that we are still using today, such as their
unique hull design, and the center console design. The center
console design has given boats much more room and versatility
than they ever had before. Because of these successes, Boston
Whaler has grown into a colossal 85 million dollar industry,
and they produce boats for the military, law enforcement, fire
and rescue, and commercial businesses.
Boston
Whaler boats are built to last. They have the capacity to
stand up under pressure, with almost no maintenance required.
These are perfect family boats, because they are safe,
unsinkable, and dependable. Some of the secrets of the
building process that creates Boston Whalers, are flexible
steel reinforced molds, fiberglass and resin, and the
self-bailing design of the Whaler hulls. This company
undoubtedly creates superior boats, and leaves its competitors
far behind them.
There
are Boston Whaler fans all over the globe. Boaters everywhere
applaud these boats that have saved countless lives. The
company’s customers appreciate more than the exceptional
boats, however. They are also fully satisfied with the
integrity and quality of the company, and what it stands for.
They add the finishing touches where most would not. For
instance, they finish their hatches on the inside as well as
the outside, mold nonskid into the deck, and chrome-plate the
stainless steel deck hardware. Surveys have proved over and
over again that owners of both new and used Boston Whaler
boats are completely satisfied with the overall look and
performance of their boats. In fact, in the statistics for
used boats, owners of used Whalers give the highest
satisfaction rating.
There
is one more feature this company has that puts it above the
rest. They have a Boston Whalers owners club, called the
“Classic Whaler Association”. This club is made up of a
group of Whaler owners and fans. There are more than 3000
members in the Association, and they always welcome new
joiners. Whaler fans are able to find new and used parts and
accessories, chat with other owners, and they receive a
quarterly newsletter, which has feature stories, classifieds,
photos, and more.
